FOUNDER

Jack’s Rhythms was founded by Jack Goldberg. He ran the store in New Paltz for twenty years and was a fixture of village life. Sadly, Jack passed away in January 2010. The store continues to carry his name in tribute to the tremendous life he led, not just as a shop keeper and music lover, but as a man who lived to connect with other people. He was a good boss, a good friend, a baseball fanatic, and most important, a loving husband, father and grandfather. Hardly a day goes by that he is not thought of, or mentioned by a customer, and that is how it should be. He is missed.

In 2011, the Felice Brothers dedicated their album “Celebration Florida” to Jack Goldberg and included inside a tribute. Thanks go to them and their producer, Jeremy Backofen.
